Exploring the Benefits of Learning Chinese
I'd like to study Chinese.
I do want to learn Chinese, that much is true. The new language of the modern world is Chinese. I take a look around and I see where this is all going. We are all going to be speaking Chinese and Spanish alongside English because our world is expanding at such an alarming rate and the global economy is integrating at such a merciless pace. We are rapidly moving toward a multilingual world. If we just learn Chinese, we won't even need subtitles on movies, an interpreter to help us navigate a Chinese menu, or an old-world master to explain the meaning of a Chinese character adorning a wall.
If I learned Chinese, I could converse with them for hours on end about the customs of their culture and how to feng shui my home for greater tranquility. As I listened to inspiring tales of legendary figures from ancient cultures, I could imagine how brilliant their minds must have been and hope that one of them would serve as my next source of inspiration. The irate driver next to me or my kids for not picking up their clothes could receive a reprimand if I learn Chinese. If I learn Chinese, I'll be able to outperform my friends and coworkers with knowledge of a higher level than theirs. I could take a trip to Asia and shop crazily there, buying things I don't really need, but I'd be happier just listening to your interesting conversation.
Learning Chinese will help me find a better job, and a world-class employer will value me highly and reward me with travel and a generous expense account. I'll be back to take over his position and get a bigger expense budget. If I were to learn Chinese, I might become a budding calligrapher of ancient Chinese characters and work my way up the spiritual ladder, even if only as a tattoo artist.
If I learn Chinese, I could command in reading the Chinese news to everyone seated around me spellbound by my fluency. Furthermore, I could dazzle them with a subsequent 9 on the scale. 10. Including a 15-course Chinese meal. If I could learn Chinese, I would give all of my pets (and perhaps even my kids) names that were three words long and had such profound, soulful, and enduring meanings. .
Learning Chinese would enable me to actively volunteer in Asian nations and serve as a vital bridge between the eastern and western worlds. Where there is currently so little assistance, I would perform great deeds in the field of missions. I am confident that I can improve the world. The world economy would merge as expected if I learned Chinese, but I would also make it work for everyone else. Because if I learned Chinese, I would want it to mean more than just being able to speak a foreign language; I would want to use it as a tool to bring people together instead of just using it for business or to pass someone else by. In today's world, learning Chinese might allow me to slow down, even if it's just to say "hello."
